Icefire slipped through the trees of Andrathorn. The forest was thick with beauty. A great and terribble beauty The words rang in his head. No he wouldn't think of that. What about his pack? He laughed softly to himself. It was strange wasn't it. Only faes. Well unless you counted the loners. There was Aurora and Akasha and Ruebura. Which was his favorite. He shouldn't have one. He really shouldn't but it was- a russle behind him and he spun his thoughts trailing off.

"I come in...peace if that is what you wish to call my appearance upon your land Icefire. Do not worry,I have not come to harm any of your precious faes. Though it does seem that you have plenty."
Voice at first came low,with a hint or two of sorrow strung in each word. Yet as the unseen speaker lifted the mood with a casual jest,the tune also lifted in light amusement. From the shadows stepped Solar Racer,snow fleeced brute that joined a light pack long ago. Yet was cast out on a mission to get close to the darks,so that those d**ned souled wolves could be killed once and for all. Sadly,the activity of the cursed ones have gone down and the brute returned to his pack to find his Alphen had taken a mate and had pups. Hm,more out of anger than anything else,the warrior left his pack to live on his own. Now he finds himself straying into the darkness that had been assigned he act on.
Gaze slipped over the young and layed back Alphen,wondering why he seemed so careless when danger lurks in every corner. Heck,the loner could have taken out the commander and his pack would never know untill Solar represented himself as their new leader. These thoughts rampages in his head as he stepped close to the similar colored male,and then sat upon strong haunches. Lifting an invisible eyebrow,he spoke in a tone that held much knowledge.
"A few new darks roam this land,and the ones that had been here longer shrink back into their black holes. I roamed upon your terra to see if you have been having any trouble,but only good luck seems to come to you. I be Solar Racer,loner brute and a possible ally to you." |

Icefire bowed. The grave news seemed as if they were no more than flies. "I am glad for your offered help. I do not fear the dark ones. I have only had trouble with one brute. Maybe you've heard of him. His name is no secret Nightdemon. I can handle him. He has never gotton past me. Lets just say once second to your brother always second to your brother."

Ruebura walked through the trees, keeping a monotonous pace. Akasha, she seemed kind, always keeping a smile. Her thoughts still recklessly bounced about her mind, revolving around Aurora and Icefire. She still wasn't certain about her ideas about them.
A scent wafted around her mug, and she distinguished the smell of brutes. Two, to be exact. And one was Icefire. The other, she didn't recognize, but there was not trace of Andrathorn on him. The ivory fae halted behind a large clump of heather, not wanting either of the brutes to notice her. Ruebura glanced between them, wondering if she should step out into the open (a bad idea,) stay hidden, or turn and run.

Solar Racer nodded slowly,glad that Icefire had had no trouble with the dark ones,but the name he spoke was not familiar. Nightdemon? Must be one of those new shadows he had seen creeping about,but defiantly not that little crimson male he had seen upon Forest of Shadow. The little canine would find no one there,for Alana and Spirit had been gone a long time. Sighing deeply,the colorless warrior thought of his beloved Alana,her beauty and heart were so gentle and enchanting. Everything she had shone him was kindness,and everything he had shone her was love. Untill she turned her back away,and decided not to take a mate as her Alphen.
Shaking himself from the past thoughts,the older knight looked into the eyes of the younger wolf before him. Odd,that he saw no forward command or dominance there. How did he rule a pack with such a layed back way of living. Shrugging it off,he twisted his ears to the softly rustling brush at his back. The scent that he sucked in was fae,and the ivorn loner suspected it be one of Andrathorn pretty vixen. His voice drifted forth,directed toward Icefire and Rubura.
"Well,I have never heard of your brother but I have seen a new demon crawling about. Do you know the little red brute that waits within Forest of Shadows?
Also,M'Lady of Andrathorn. Please step forth before I get the idea you wish to harm me." |

The frost-draped feminine stepped into the open, in view of both brutes. This was very risky, she knew, but she was sure she could outrun the two. Stamina and speed were suddenly gained in the act of fear.
She bowed graciously to Icefire, then dipped her mug as a salutation to the brutes. Then shaking her head, she spoke in an assuring voice,
"I do not wish to harm you. I was merely going for a stroll, and eying the scenery, when I came upon you. If you wish me to leave, I shall'."

Icefire smiled. "ah yes you must be speaking of Firewing. He is a light. Used to be part of my pack. He ran in a battle and never came back. He is harmless. This Ruebura. I hope you don't mind if she stays I was just on my way to find her." he turned to Ruebura and bowed "I was wondering if you cared to hunt?" He turned back to Solar Racer. "Do you wish anything from a Andrathorn? To join prehaps?"

Solar Racer smiled to the two,seeing what formed between them. Shaking his head,he turned to Icefire and spoke in a respectful melody before taking a look about. In the distance,he saw an ivorn fae racing out of the realm. He would go fix that,since her Alphen had other things to do. Once he finished his speech,he bowed to both then turned about and chased after the vix.
"Oh no,I am happy to be a loner. Though if I think of joining a pack,you will be the one I come to. Now,I just saw a white femmora leave your domain and I will go see what it is all about. I am pretty good at charming a lady into telling her problems,for I do not like to see any maiden crying. It breaks my heart to think that somone else broke their's. I shall be off,you two go ahead and hunt." |

Ruebura watched Solar Racer race away, then she turned to the Alphen. Astonishment welled up inside the snow-veiled fae, as well as intense joy. Remember Akasha's speech, and her thoughts about Aurora, she was also filled with sadness. She strayed no emotion, though, no more than the thought of a respectful friendship, as she spoke in a light melody.
"I would enjoy a hunt, I cannot remember the last time I ate,"
All of the depression and sorrow she felt for Aurora, and herself, were drained away for the time being. A smile crept across her mug. This could help Ruebura ease her burden. But the ivory vix still wondered where this hunt would go, and what Aurora would think of it.

"Solar racer wait a moment." He looked very sad. "You should know Aurora is very mad at me. She can't seem to accept that I have OTHER faes in my pack. She probably never want to see me again."

Solar Racer returned just in time to hear Icefire's words. Now,the ivorn loner was usually even tempered and well mannered. But when he stalked up to the other brute,not even considering the young male an Alphen,he snarled in menace. Words came out like venom.
"Maybe if you actually talked to the poor girl,you would understand alot better! Instead of prancing off to 'hunt' with Ruebura,you should talk to Aurora. She needs comfort alot more than that happy little vix over there does. Or you can choose to ignore the whole situation,and proove the coward that I stare upon now." |

Icefire didn't move a muscle. His eyes were calm. When he spoke it was soft but the air around him seemed to turn to ice. How was it that his vioce soft and calm was so frightning. Worse than if he had bellowed. "I can change no ones heart. Do you truely believe that she would let me anywhere near her? At the moment my 'hunt' as you call it is no more than that. hunting. Do you dare to tell me that I should not get to know the rest of my pack. Niether of the faes have stolen my heart yet. I do not give it easily. As for being a coward, you do not know me. You do not know my story. As for Aurora. She is a wonderful wolf. I welcomed her in with almost no rules. I just wanted her to be kind to the others not hate them becuase she see's them as a threat. I tried to show her that she could trust me and just becuase i wanted to get to know the others she left. she's mad about just me KNOWING the others. Sometimes the greatest courage of all is a bird to scratch for worms."

Solar Racer shook his head,not frightened one bit by Icefire. Did the 'Alphen' actually think he was speaking wise words? Poor thing,that he thought himself with so much knowledge.
"Then after your hunt,or whatever you want to call it,go talk to her. She isn't mad as mad at you as you persume. Did you ever think,that she saw them as a threat because she was just trying to protect her heart. You were the only one that could get to her,and yet you crushed her. So you would get to know the rest of your pack,but not her? I lurk about,and so far I have not seen you spend time with her except to claim her and retrieve her from Firewing. Great leadership!" |

Icefire looked at him. "Do you think it was possibble that there was a reason a didnt soend time with her? I thought long and hard over this. I didnt want to make her care for me any more than she already did. I know you think im stupid. I knew you wouldnt understand what I ment but I did try to tell you."

You are giving that fae over there affection you said not to long agao that you didn't have for her. You are wrapping yourself in your own words,and you are right. I do think you are stupid,and I think I understand enough that you are afraid to go talk to Aurora. I talked to her,and gave her hope enough to hold the burden of her love for you. Now it's your turn,to go scratch for the worms."
Solar Racer turned about,and left the Alphen and his soon to be Alphess. He wouldn't come back anymore,and try to explain to Icefire anything else. If the brute wished to hurt Aurora more,then he could. It was his choice. And an ignorant one at that. |

Solar Racer whirled on Icefire,snarling at him. Why did this brute have to keep pulling the loner into a stupid conversation!?! Looking over to Ruebura,he gave a loud bark and then a menacing growl.

Now they were getting somewhere,thought Solar Racer as he sat down before Icefire. Invisible eyebrow was raised as the Alphen of Forest of Shadows stared at the other. Just recently he had taken the pack as his,for Alana left forever. Though he was sad,he was getting along fine. But this was not about him,but about Aurora and Icefire. |

Icefire glared at him. "If you really want to know this is my story. I was born to one of the great packs. I was to be a the Alphen. and Moon my beloved would be the Alphess. I refused my position to come here to take care of anyone who needed it. Moon refused to come with me. I went after her to try to make her understand. Nightdemon realized my love for her and sluaghtered her before I could get there. It is my faulght she died. It broke me twice. I swore that no matter what happened I would never give Nightdemon that bait again. I founded ANdrathorn and lived until one day Aurora came. She looks just like her. She acts just like her. IT nearly killed me. To see her there just like Moon. They are almost the same wolf. She left and I will not break my oath. I will never chase another to there death."
