Firewing stepped lightly into this area. He smelled wolves. He was looking for a pack. He was thinking of joining one. He was getting closer. He turned and smelled the air.

Aurora slowly crawled up behind Firewing,crawling on her belly so he wouldn't be able to hear her. Then,when she was right by his side,the ivorn fae leaped over his head and landed before him. Smiling,she gave a playful yap and then looked into his eyes as she spoke.
"Hello! Are you looking to join this pack Firewing,because I want to to!?!" |

Firewing was startled. "Aurora? Oh yes I am. OH.... I get it. Icefire. Yes. Hmm. That happened to the other one too... Aurora you have to go back."

Aurora stood before Firewing,smiling at him. When he spoke of Icefire,her chest tightened and a frown slowly formed. Gazing at the ruby brute,she began to get confused.
"What do you mean 'the other one'? Why do I have to go back? If he wanted my friendship,then he would come to me." |

Firewing sighed. "Listen Aurora and I'm going to tell you something about Icefire I've never told anyone. I promised him I wouldn't tell. But YOU need to know. When Icefire was much younger he was destined to be leader of a great pack. It was strong beyond measure. He turned it down becuase he wanted to help others. He also was in love with a young fae. She was beautiful with a strange personality. When he decided to come to Andrathorn she refused to come with him. Soon after she was killed by his brother Nightdemon. She broke his heart and Nightdemon broke it twice. I met her once. Before she died she was so different. Aurora. The reason you suprised me so much that day we met. You look just like her. You ACT just like her. Do you know how hard that was for Icefire. He was always torn between love and sadness with that fae he once loved so much and then comes you. Just like her. Why do you think he didn't chase you? He chased that one fae. and thats how Nightdemon found her. Icefire swore that he would never chase anyone again no matter what. He has kept his promise." Firewing sighed again.

Aurora held back the tears,and raised her head high as she thought of how ridiculous that sounded. Swallowing,the thump in her throat still did not disappear. So,she loved a brute that was stuck in the past? How could she help him? How could she push him past that boundary that kept him locked away from her love. |

Firewing sighed. "Sorry I didn't quite follow that. BUT I know he will never chase you becuase thats how Nightdemon got to Moon. Becuase Icefire came after her. He knew that he loved her and he took that as a way to get to him."

Solar Racer padded up to Firewing and Aurora,looking from one to the other. Then he cleared his throat,and began to speak. His voice was not commanding and edged with authority,but kind and gentle. As he stared at the two wolves before him,he held his head just abit higher than them. Yes,he was Alphen,but he still wanted to earn their respect instead of demanding it.
"Hello Firewing and Aurora,and I can already guess why you two are here. Come to join my pack?" |

"Both of you are welcome into my pack,and if Aurora chooses to leave then she may. But right now,I accept her as my own. At any time she may leave to go back to Icefire."
Solar Racer gave an understanding smile to Aurora,then gave a gratitude look toward Firewing. The brute was just doing what he thought was right,and yet it seemed that the ivorn fae didn't care. All she seemed to want was release from the Alphen who had hurt her,and yet still loved. Would it be better if she went back or stayed away? |

Firewing looked at Aurora and saw something in her eyes. "Oh Aurora don't you get it?! First Icefire doesn't love Ruebura! And Moon... He LOVED Moon but he doesn't understand. Don't you see! How can he know how he feels about you! He can't tell becuase You are so much like her. You don't get how much alike you are! I've met both of you! I THOUGHT you were Moon. I thought so until Icefire said you were Aurora! You were to busy fighting for him to see how HE felt. All you had to do was look in his eyes and you could tell."

Solar Racer was not naturally a stiff Alphen,but the crimson brute was prooving only to depress Aurora more. Now that the two were his pack members,he hoped to give them both comfort that they were in a pack and protected. Turning his stern gaze from Firewing,he settled it upon Aurora. Her face betrayed little emtion but deep sorrow,yet he knew something else was held under the surface. So he parted his jowls,and asked her what might be an all most unbearable question.
Do you wish to be with Icefire,even if he is unsure if he loves you for you or because he sees you as his beloved Moon? |

Icefire stepped calmly from the bushes. "Now that question would be falsely answered considereding you speak fiction not fact. First off I haven't ever met you." he said nodding to Solar Racer "And I haven't seen you two since the waterfall." His eyes darkened and danced with flame as he spoke the last bit. "It seems I have been inpersonated be this lowly creature." He dragged an unconsies wolf out of the bushes. They looked exactly the same but Icefire turned the brutes head and the unconsies wolf was seen to have a long scar sliced down his face. "Nightdemon my brother. as for you Firewing. You should know better to be tricked by him. He made up the whole story of Moon. Yes I did introduce you once to Moon who looked very much like Aurora. But Moon was not my beloved Alpheness as Nightdemon claimed. No Moon was my sister. Aurora I never said whatever it was he said to you. I would never hurt you."

"Wait,so I was speaking to a low life demon all that time?"
Solar Racer snarled at Nightdemon,stepping up to the dark. Topaz orbs seemed to glow with hatred of how anyone could hurt any fae in that manner. Alabaster Alphen looked over to the real Icefire,and frowned. he then spoke.
"I am sorry Icefire,but you do not have to be so cruel. Your brother has tricked us all,and punishing us for our ignorance is worse than what he does. Now,that you have revealed you are the real one,I still leave the decsion up to Aurora. Will you go back home or will you stay with me? I don't care,whichever makes you happy. Nightdemon,if you ever hurt a femmora like that again,your throat is personally mine. No matter what your brother or anybody else says!" |

"Icefire,do you or do you not love me?"
Aurora asked her previous Alphen,not really knowing if she was part of the Andrathorn or Forest of Shadows pack. Looking over to Solar Racer,she smiled and reassured him that he had done a good job in protecting her. Then,she settled her heartbroken gaze on what hopefully was Icefire. All of this was hard to accept,and all she knew was that she still had feelings for the brute she met a couple of weeks ago. Who was he now? A scar faced shadow or the kind commander? The ivorn vix was so confused,and her heart ached to believe the czar standing before her. The one without the scar down his face,and the evil glint in his eyes. |

"Solar Racer came to me,and helped me back up unto my feet. Just because you came here,doesn't mean anything. Tell me the truth! Stop speaking riddles,because I am sick of everybody playing with my head and heart. Do you love me?"
Aurora shouted the question at Icefire,her eyes welling near tears again. She shook with pain and anger,not knowing who to trust anymore. Firewing,a nice brute had told her lies. Icefire,or what she thought was him but really Nightdemon,had twisted her heart and beat her emtionally. Solar Racer,pressing her to see if she wishes to stay or go back to Andrathorn. The real Icefire,speaking everything but what he meant. Why did everyone do this? Was she so easily stepped upon,so they thought they could take control of her? Lifting her head,she gathered up whatever courage and strength was left. The colorless fae needed it right now. |
